Teaching the Visual Arts to Adults on Zoom + Consultation

STREAMING PROGRAM INFORMATION

• This program is part of our Smithsonian Associates Streaming series.
• Platform: Zoom
• Online registration is required.
• If you register multiple individuals, you will be asked to supply individual names and email addresses so they can receive a Zoom link email. Please note that if there is a change in program schedule or a cancellation, we will notify you via email, and it will be your responsibility to notify other registrants in your group.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Join the Smithsonian Associates Studio Arts team for a workshop focused on strategies and best practices for teaching adults hands-on, visual arts content on Zoom. The workshop covers curriculum development, working with multiple cameras, and troubleshooting home tech. An instructor provides tips and tricks for managing a Zoom classroom and there is ample time for a Q&A session as part of the program. This workshop is perfect for both educators and arts administrators.

SPECIAL CONSULTATION

Take advantage of the opportunity to register for an additional one hour long, one-on-one consultation session with a team proficient in both curriculum development and the technical ins-and-outs of Zoom.

If you have purchased the workshop plus consultation, please contact VollkommerM@si.edu to schedule the one-on-one portion. Consultations must be redeemed by February 18, 2021.

• This studio arts program is a Zoom Meeting to allow for patron and instructor interaction.
• This program is available without the consultation.
