Photo & Recording Policy

Smithsonian Associates reserves the right to take photographs and record video and/or audio during programs for the educational and promotional purposes of the Smithsonian Institution or authorized third parties. By attending a program, participants agree to allow their likeness to be used by Smithsonian Associates or Smithsonian-authorized third parties without compensation to the participant. Individuals who prefer that their voice and/or image not be used must notify Smithsonian Associates in writing prior to the beginning of the program.

Studio Arts Recording Policy

  1. Most Studio Arts courses and workshops are recorded. The program page for each Studio Arts workshop and course indicates whether it will be recorded.
  2. Registrants receive a link and password to access recordings via Dropbox one week prior to the start of a workshop or the first session of a course. This information is included in a welcome email that comes from associates-studioarts@si.edu with the subject line Welcome to [Your Class Name] - Zoom Link & Recording Info.
  3. Save your welcome email! The link to the recordings is only provided in your welcome email and is not available in Associates Encores.
  4. Students do not need their own Dropbox account to access the recordings.
  5. Recordings are available within four days after each workshop or course session ends. All recordings are available for two weeks after the workshop or course concludes. Recordings cannot be downloaded or shared.

Smithsonian Summer Adventures Recording Policy

Smithsonian Summer Adventures sessions are not available for viewing after the program has ended.
