Rafael Soriano: Cabezas (Heads) Daytime Tour

The Art Museum of the Americas presents an exhibition of work by the Cuban-born painter, Rafael Soriano (1920-2015), one of the major Latin American artists of his generation. The exhibit, Cabezas (Heads) chronicles the development of Soriano’s unique biomorphic style, which culminated in a specific body of work depicting the human head.

Library of Congress Daytime Tour

The Thomas Jefferson building was completed in 1887 and was based on the design of the Paris Opera House. The oldest of the Library of Congress buildings, it is known for its classic façade and elaborately decorated interior containing a collection of work by classically trained American sculptors and painters.

By the Light of the Silvery Moon: A Century of Lunar Photographs Daytime Tour

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, see otherworldly images at the National Gallery of Art in its By the Light of the Silvery Moon exhibition. This exhibit presents a select survey of lunar photographs dating from the 19th century to the “space age” of the 1960s.
