  1. Supply List

By Lauren Kingsland

NOTE: Registration will close for this program at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, July 8, 2022.

The simple and familiar log cabin block is the framework for exploring color, value contrast, and spontaneity in piecing. The beginning quilter can gain confidence in combining colors while experienced quilters enjoy the playtime of improvisation (and discovering the illusion of piecing curves with only straight seams).

If you enjoy the process of creating and are willing to start a project not knowing exactly how the finished piece turns out, this class is for you. Sewing-machine experience is helpful. Projects may vary in size from that of a table runner to a bed-sized quilt, depending on the student’s experience.

This class will be recorded. Please see our FAQ for recording terms and conditions.
