PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs is known for her crime-fiction novels chronicling the adventures of Temperance (Bones) Brennan, a forensic anthropologist at the fictional Jeffersonian Institute (sound familiar?). Reichs was also producer of the popular TV series “Bones,” which centered on the character.

In the latest novel, A Conspiracy of Bones, Brennan must use all her tradecraft to discover the identity of a faceless corpse, its connection to a decade-old missing child case, and why the dead man had her cell phone number.

In conversation with novelist Karin Slaughter, Reichs discusses the challenges of translating real-life drama into the stuff of fiction, and a career that has cast her in such roles as expert witness in the high-profile Casey Anthony trial and as assistant in the investigation at Ground Zero following the 9/11 disaster.

Copies of A Conspiracy of Bones (Scribner) are available for purchase from Politics and Prose.
