Have you ever thought, “I wish I knew how to draw...drapery”? Or shoes…trees…or chairs? It can be frustrating or intimidating for student artists to approach objects they’ve never drawn before. Gain essential skills in representational drawing techniques and strategies by exploring many types of objects: ordinary items such as vases, shoes, or hats; the intricacies of drapery; mechanical items like tools; and natural forms, such as bones, flowers, and trees.
The course sessions focus on skill development, from use of line and shade to projecting convincing illusions of three-dimensional objects on a two-dimensional surfaces. Students develop greater confidence in drawing…anything.
Recommended for beginning–intermediate students who have taken a previous drawing class or have equivalent drawing experience. Previous drawing instruction strongly recommended.
