STREAMING PROGRAM INFORMATION

  • This program is part of our Smithsonian Associates Streaming series.
  • Platform: Zoom
  • Online registration is required.
  • If you register multiple individuals, you will be asked to supply individual names and email addresses so they can receive a Zoom link email. Please note that if there is a change in program schedule or a cancellation, we will notify you via email, and it will be your responsibility to notify other registrants in your group.

Everyone appreciates receiving a card in the mail. When it is a bespoke card just for them, the impact is greater. In this workshop, create cards that celebrate joyful events in life, like a birthday, or share a message of comfort and solace in the event of sickness or loss.  Attention is given to card construction, sentiments, a bit of masking, and statement embellishments. Beginners and experienced card makers are welcome.

Most card-making supplies are provided (a supply fee of $30 is included in the workshop price) including a generous assortment of premium cardstock paper, stamps, stamp block, inkpads, gems, envelopes, and other embellishments to craft at least 12 cards. Supplies will be mailed to the address on file one week prior to the workshop’s date. If you need your supplies mailed to a different address, please email us at Associates-StudioArts@si.edu. Please see supply list for some additional materials that are needed.
