Materials for this program

By Marcie Wolf-Hubbard

Create a miniature work of art that unfolds into something magical. Explore the charm and versatility of the accordion book form—perfect for storytelling, journaling, or simply experimenting with imagery. Using a mix of painting, drawing, collage, photo transfers, and other techniques, work with watercolors, acrylics, and a variety of other materials to bring your pages to life. Demonstrations include layering, painting, adding texture, and blending media for rich visual effects. Whether you fill it with abstract expressions, experimental techniques, personal sketches, or layered mixed-media compositions, your tiny accordion book becomes a portable, pocket-sized treasure. No prior bookmaking experience needed—just bring your curiosity and love of making.
