Registration and Other Terms: Before you register, please refer to our in-person program procedural documentation to learn about our current terms and conditions. CDC and Smithsonian COVID-19 guidelines in effect at the time of the program will be followed.

In early December, the Smithsonian Chamber Players will record Antonin Dvorák’s delightful Bagatelles, Op. 47 for two violins, cello, and harmonium, and Artistic Director Kenneth Slowik’s new reconstruction of the now-lost original nonet version of the bucolic Serenade in D Major, Op. 11 by Johannes Brahms.

While the December recording session will not be open to the public, the ensemble offers an open rehearsal of these two arch-Romantic works in an intimate setting, with a brief discussion of their genesis and instrumentation.

Please note: Only a limited number of seats are available for sale.
