Amid the bustling Milanese streets and the intrigue-filled corridors of the Castello Sforsezco, Leonardo breathed life into his visions. It was here that he completed his iconic fresco of the Last Supper for the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie; a colossal bronze horse; countless drawings and engineering designs; and a handful of portraits that would redefine Renaissance standards of beauty.
