By Eric Westbrook

Capturing the likeness of a specific individual is a time-honored, essential tradition in art. In this class, students are introduced to the basic steps of how to create a convincing portrait using charcoal or graphite. Concepts such as the universal proportions of the face are explored, as are techniques to help observe and record features that make a particular subject unique. All levels of experience welcomed.
