This fun class teaches you how to take great photos using manual mode. It is designed for beginners who want to learn how to use their digital or mirrorless camera as a creative tool and gives students the opportunity to gain skill in technical aspects of photography so that they can concentrate on composing beautiful images. Topics include aperture, shutter speed, ISO, the exposure triangle, focal length, metering, white balance, and composition.
Students should bring to the first class a digital SLR camera with manual or override capabilities. Point-and-shoot digital cameras are not appropriate for this course. Assignments are given each week to be critiqued by the instructor in class during the following session.
