Learn to warp the loom for a houndstooth design and create a woven structure with a repeating sequence just in time for fall. Students explore weaving and experiment with a variety of techniques while creating a scarf. The class also covers using two shuttles to carry yarn and various ways to finish the project, including hemstitch and fringe hem. Step-by-step instructions and demonstrations as well as guidance and feedback are provided.
Students are encouraged to have a working knowledge of their loom for this class and some experience weaving, but beginners are welcome. The instructor uses a rigid heddle loom for this class.
