Chuck Raasch is an author and journalist, with bylines from 49 states and five continents. He was a columnist and national correspondent with Gannett and USA Today, a Knight Fellow at Stanford University, and is the author of two books: Imperfect Union : One Father's Search for His Son in the Aftermath of the Battle of Gettysburg (2016) and Life Painted Red: The True Story of Corabelle Fellows and How Her Life on the Dakota Frontier Became a National Scandal (2023). A native of South Dakota, he now lives in Alexandria, Va.
