Materials for this program

An often overlooked but impressively large engagement in the Persian Gulf War, the Battle of Kuwait International Airport in February 1991 included the biggest and quickest tank battle in the history of the United States Marine Corps. The 1st Marine Division smashed through Iraqi armor straight into Kuwait City en route to the airport. U.S. LAVs supported by helicopter gunships destroyed enemy vehicles. The 2nd Marine Division assisted in the advance, surrounding the heavily defended Kuwait International Airport and laying waste to the hangars, terminals, and other buildings to clear the complex of any remaining resistance.

The cost of this program includes a diorama kit to be mailed to participants.  Please see Supply List in "Materials for this Program" section above for additional supplies campers must have on hand prior to the first session.

3 Sessions: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, August 9–11, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. ET, with a 12–1 p.m. break

Note: Registration will close on July 22, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. ET to allow for shipping of the required diorama kit.
