Note: This is an overnight in-person program for children and families.
Join fellow adventurers at one of the world's most visited museums for a night of fun! Wander through the Fossil Hall, where dinosaurs cast giant shadows. Learn about Earth's past and discover the ocean's aquatic wonders. Visit pollinators and walk softly past mysterious mammals. Participate in games and challenges, immerse yourself in hand-on crafts and even learn how to eat like a T-Rex while playing The Game of Survival.
For this fall sleepover, celebrate Halloween by wearing a costume.*

*Smithsonian security has the following guidelines for costumes: no wearing masks or other items which obscure the face; no sharp or pointed objects, materials that may accidentally strike guests or exhibits; and no elements that resemble or could easily be mistaken for any actual weapon. For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, costumes should be child-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, or violent in nature. To alleviate confusion during crisis situations, we ask that adults not come in first-responder costumes.
