Around 145 to 200 million years ago, the ground under the Smithsonian was a swampy forest filled with life from the Jurassic Period. Junior paleontologists go back in time and discover the many dinosaurs, pterosaurs, reptiles, mammals, and insects that roamed our backyards long, long ago. They observe 3D-scanned fossils from the Natural History Museum in detail, piece together their own dinosaur skeletons, and trace prehistoric creatures to their natural descendants today by exploring life at the National Zoo.
