After the momentous course of events set in motion by Thanos and the epic showdown in Avengers: Infinity War that fractured the Avengers ranks, the remaining Avengers are compelled to take one final stand in Endgame.  Marvel Studio’s grand conclusion to 22 super-hero films is scheduled for U.S. release on April 26.

On the first day of ticket pre-sales, this highly anticipated movie broke previous ticket sales records and crashed some ticket websites.

In conversation with NPR’s Linda Holmes, directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo discuss their experience of back-to-back filming of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame and challenges of transporting the adventures of the iconic super-heroes from comic book page to the screen. The Russo brothers entered the Marvel film universe with Captain America: The Winter Soldier followed by Captain America: Civil War.
