Spices are the fastest, easiest way to make a good dish a spectacular one, according to spice expert and professional chef Lior Lev Sercarz. The owner of New York City spice shop La Boîte, Sercarz believes using spices in everyday recipes should not be hard or complicated. Adding a single spice or a blend of spices to your favorite dishes is sure to transform the simplest preparation into a unique one.
Sercarz explains how to create spice blends and how to cook with them. He demonstrates the preparation of a spicy summer dinner, showing how home cooks can easily use spices to elevate simple dishes.
