Become familiar with the vocabulary of color and how to use printed fabric to create spectacular color combinations in your quilts. Gain a personal understanding of these principles through basic color theory and color combination class exercises using fabric and glue on paper. Students assemble their hands-on exercises into a personal reference color notebook. The ongoing homework assignment between classes will be one sewn (or pasted) quilt block that incorporates an assigned fabric. Through experimentation, students go beyond familiar color schemes to find their personal sense of color confidence. Open to all levels of quilt-making experience
