Explore the Japanese art of takuga, the intersection between printmaking and watercolor. Use sumi or blockprinting ink to handprint leaves, flowers, or vegetables. Then learn how to paint these prints with watercolor. Leave this workshop with many colorful prints in the takuga style on a variety of printmaking papers, ready for framing or sending as a greeting card. As this is a winter class, feel free to bring a bouquet or leaves from houseplants from which to print.
