Student work in progress

This comprehensive class offers a strong foundation and introduction to the wide variety of glass materials used for constructing mosaics. Instructor Bonnie Fitzgerald covers design, terminology, substrates, adhesives, and more as students are guided through the design and creation process to complete an 8-inch-square home décor piece. Students are introduced to classical and contemporary design methods, the use of hand tools, and are offered a number of fabrication tips. Artwork is grouted and finishing options discussed at the final session. Students can work from their own simple designs or choose from a selection of provided patterns and drawings.

A $55 supply fee payable to the instructor covers all materials and tool loan during class time. All skill levels are welcome.
