CAMP UPDATE: This camp will now serve grades 6-8 (originally 7-9).

Do you ever wonder what happened just before, after, or in-between famous moments of history such as Bessie Coleman’s first flight, or Thomas Edison first successful phonograph recording? Campers reimagine a variety of notable historical events and create their own expanded scenarios about them. Visits to the African American and American History Museums fuel their research. Attending a local theatre production inspires prop- and scenery-building and acting techniques. Campers then write, design, and rehearse their unique takes on history and bring them to life in a Friday presentation.
