Admission Resize text Whether in books, newspapers, artwork, or posters, for centuries all over the world the art of printmaking has played a vital role in creating the information we see and interact with. Through visits to the Smithsonian’s American Art, Cooper Hewitt (virtually), and Asian Art museums, campers explore how information, news, history, art, and entertainment have been affected by the ability to print and make multiples of anything. Campers explore the world of printmaking and learn about its many uses past and present and try their hand at techniques including relief printing, intaglio, and stencils. Visits to museums on the National Mall provide the inspiration for creating their own designs to be displayed at the Friday show–and–share.
