(History + Math)Women = Progress! Math surrounds us every day, and from ancient Greece to outer space, female mathematicians have advanced humanity. You already know that girls can run the world, so get ready to explore how math surrounds us, how women have shaped and shared mathematical knowledge, and how the future is full of endless possibilities for the next generation of female mathematicians. Campers explore logic, puzzles, equations, and algorithms as they build their own escape room, perfect their own recipes, and create unique artwork based on mathematical principles. They journey through time, space, and the National Mall with trips to the Natural History Museum, African American History and Culture Museum, Air and Space Museum, and the Renwick Gallery. Bring your abacus, your graphing calculator, or just a good old #2 pencil and let’s add it all up!
