7/26, 7/27, 7/28, 7/29, and 7/30 (5 sessions total)

Tigers and otters and bats, oh my! Adventurers investigate the world of mammals to discover creatures who are great communicators, have highly developed senses, and some weird and wonderful adaptations to survive. In addition to games, crafts, and storytelling, virtual visits to the National Zoo and the Natural History, American Indian, and African Art museums inspire participants as they create their own animal kingdom.

In grade-appropriate, week-long sessions, participants take a deep dive into the Smithsonian’s collections. These Adventures engage young people with unique content about natural sciences, history, art, and so much more. Weekday sessions explore a variety of Smithsonian topics and include virtual visits to museums, hands-on projects, games, collaborative challenges, and conversations with experts during 2 hours of live, online interaction with a team of experienced instructors.

Registration for this Adventure will close two weeks prior to the first session date.  If you are trying to register after that point, please email us at SummerCamp@si.edu and we will do our best to accommodate your request if space is still available.
