The Smithsonian is home to some 137 million objects, artworks, and specimens—and that number is climbing all the time. Ruby slippers, dinosaur poop, astronaut’s boots, old advertisements, tribal textiles, and presidential garb are just a few things waiting to be discovered. Campers explore the Smithsonian and its unique collections, including some of the more obscure items on display. With that inspiration, they create their own version of a Smithsonian collection. Viewers are welcomed to its grand unveiling on Friday. Who knows what treasures it will hold?
