7/19, 7/20, 7/21, 7/22, and 7/23 (5 sessions total)
Instructor: Betty Simmons
Who says you can’t take amazing artistic and award-winning photos with your phone? In this master class led by local teaching artist Betty Simmons, teens explore everything from apps that make a cellphone camera work like a real one to creative lighting techniques and photo magic that will leave friends and family saying “Wow!”
Master Classes are week-long, focused studio courses where teens can develop specialized skills and interact with other teens, while learning from professional practitioners. With two hours of daily live online workshops, teens will practice, experiment, and collaborate in the development of personal projects inspired by Smithsonian collections.
Registration for this Adventure will close two weeks prior to the first session date. If you are trying to register after that point, please email us at SummerCamp@si.edu and we will do our best to accommodate your request if space is still available.
