There are some shady happenings around the Smithsonian’s museums, and it’s up to intrepid campers to crack the mysteries! They are briefed about covert operations throughout history and play the roles of crime lab investigator, detective, and spy as they conduct their missions. Along the way, they learn how to collect and preserve crime scene evidence by lifting fingerprints and making plaster casts; discover how to crack codes; make and use invisible ink; and learn the secrets to detecting forgeries. On Friday, families examine the evidence the young investigators have uncovered.
