Visits to many of the Smithsonian museums help campers understand the breadth of the contributions by such people as Henrietta Lacks, Ella Cara Deloria, Rosalind Franklin, and more. Campers build paper microscopes, construct solar systems models, make fossils, translate American Indian languages and extract DNA from fruit. The end of the week’s Show–and–Share is sure to be inspirational.
