Get outdoors and enjoy a spring day at the Arboretum during what is usually the peak blooming time for azaleas, dogwoods, and seasonal wildflowers. The day includes a walking tour of popular collections on the grounds, a picnic box lunch on site, and a special guided tour of the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum, where you can explore the collection up-close and learn how this living art form reflects the Asian aesthetics of its origins. Know Before You Go The tour meets on site at the National Arboretum, 3501 New York Ave NE, Washington, DC. Parking is available. This program involves walking; wear shoes appropriate for unpaved paths. A box lunch is included. This tour is limited to 30 participants to allow for 15 per guided group.
