In the 1960s and 1970s, Napa Valley led the charge in putting America on the global wine radar. A lot has changed since California wines beat the corks off the French competition in the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976 (aka the Judgment of Paris). But one thing remains the same: The quality of Northern California wines has continued to improve.

This immersive tasting experience led by Erik Segelbaum spans the best of Napa, Sonoma, Lake, and Mendocino counties. He explores variations in terroir from high elevation to valley floor, what makes the Sonoma Coast so special, and reveals hidden gems from some outlying appellations.

Wine Tasting Kit

  • The cost includes a curated personal tasting kit with enough wine for one person to sample the full lineup of wines.
  • Additional participants must register individually to receive their own tasting kit, which is an essential component of the workshop.
  • Kits are available for pick-up on Thursday, February 4, 12–4 p.m., and Friday, February 5, 12–4 p.m., at The Eastern wine bar in the Capital Hill neighborhood (360 7th St SE; Metro: Eastern Market along the Orange, Silver and Blue Lines). VIEW PICK-UP INFORMATION
