The 2017 edition of the world’s largest indoor flower exhibition—all 10 colorful acres of it—salutes the Netherlands with the theme Holland: Flowering the World. Top American and Dutch horticulturists and designers conjure up evocations of the country’s iconic windmills, canals, and tulip fields, and showcase innovative eco-design, modern urban greening, and sustainability efforts taking place in the Netherlands. The legendary show is the perfect place for gardeners and flower enthusiasts to spend a day filled with beauty.
A Smithsonian Gardens staff member accompanies the tour. A gourmet box lunch is provided en route, and participants purchase their own supper before departure in the evening.
Fringe stop at about 10:10 a.m.
