It’s going to be a swinging good time at the Breakfast at the Zoo! Join us as we feature the National Zoo’s primates—gorillas, orangutans, and gibbons—at this much-anticipated annual event.

Smithsonian Associates’ members experience the sights and sounds of the National Zoo before it opens to the public. After enjoying a breakfast buffet, we will be swinging to the music of Hot Club of DC, a gypsy jazz and swing band, on Lion and Tiger Hill. During the event, zoo keepers offer an up-close look into some of the animal houses. Also, a kids’ activity corner allows kids to have a hands-on zoo-related crafting experience.

Please note: This special event is open only to Smithsonian Associates members, Smithsonian staff, and their guests. This ticket does not include VIP Pavilion access. If you are interested in the VIP Pavilion, upgrade to the Resident Advocate ($175) level or call 202-633-3030 during our regular business hours.
