Brighten your holidays with pysanky, the colorful Ukrainian eggs decorated with traditional Slavic folk designs. Using the wax-resist method, the distinctive holiday motifs are inscribed with a stylus on beeswax-covered eggs, then dipped in dye.
Workshop participants learn about the tradition of pysanky and are led through the egg waxing and dyeing processes, emphasizing proper technique and encouraging individualized, creative designs. No experience is necessary, and all supplies are provided. The workshop is limited to 12 students ages 13 and older.
