A joint collaboration of Smithsonian Gardens, the United States Botanic Garden, American Art Museum, and the Portrait Gallery, the installation fills the glass-roofed space with hundreds of orchids of stunning variety and showcases how orchids have adapted to their many different environments—on every single continent except Antarctica.
