Students work in oil, acrylic, pastel, or watercolor in a class that focuses on the elements of design specific to landscape paintings. Lectures examine historic to modern landscapes, focusing on purpose, approach, and the techniques used to build compelling paintings. Techniques demonstrated add to the knowledge of what makes a successful landscape painting and assist in the creation of more personal landscapes.
