Adobe Lightroom is now the most useful (and user friendly) software for organizing and editing images, usable for both RAW and JPEG image files. This two-session workshop offers users an overview of the program, with a focus on working with a pair of essential modules for organizing and editing your files.
Learn to make the most of the Library module, which can be used for a variety of functions, including importing, exporting, deleting, and grouping files; sorting and ranking files for quality; and attaching keywords for easy retrieval. Participants are guided in setting up a checklist of tasks as files are imported and managed.
In the Develop module, users process files to improve their tone, color, and fine detail. Edits can be made globally or selectively with intuitive tools. The instructor demonstrates a clear step-by-step workflow, and provides detailed notes.
Personal laptops are not required but are recommended, as students have the opportunity to begin their image catalogs in class; Lightroom 5, 6, or Classic (not Lightroom CC) should be installed and functional on your laptop. PCs in the computer lab are also available for student use.
