By Lori VanKirk Schue

A sketchbook is so much more than just a book for drawing. Is yours boring? Do you want to learn how to start your own sketchbook? This is the class for you.

Award-winning artist Lori VanKirk Schue helps you boost your creativity and record your thoughts and visual observations of the world around you—and in the process transform your sketchbook into a powerful expression of your inner self.

Students work on improving their sketchbooks and the stories they tell through using creative techniques, materials, and thought processes. Though not a beginning drawing class, you will have the opportunity to learn basic drawing skills, to observe contour lines and negative space, and discover how to capture the essence of what you see and think. A variety of materials appropriate for sketchbooks are discussed and demonstrated.

Note: In-person programs are not recorded.
