Use stained-glass and vitreous glass tiles to interpret a realistic image in mosaics as you learn to discern color values, identify shapes, and define planes to enhance your work. Examples of mosaics from ancient to contemporary provide insights into how cutting and patterning can be used to create pleasing compositions and realistic interpretations.

The instructor provides a selection of images appropriate for mosaic work, or students may work from images their own their own with a 2-week advance approval.

A $75 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first session includes a generous selection of stained glass and glass tiles, as well as substrate, adhesive, and grout. Tools are available for loan during class time. The class is open to all skill levels.
