Join Sara Lukinson, filmmaker and writer for the Kennedy Center Honors for 38 years, to talk about the lives of performing arts legends and enjoy clips of their performances. Explore what made them so moving, memorable, and exciting. These artists both reflected their times and changed them. And we loved them for it. Lukinson, a multiple Emmy Award winner, created more than 200 short biographical films for the Kennedy Center Honors. She teaches at NYU and the 92nd Street Y. Session Information Strings of Delights: The Musial Glories of Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, and Mstislav Rostropovich This trio of recipients of the Kennedy Center Honors represents magicians of the strings, stars of the classical world and whatever music they played. On stage and off, they were forces of music who moved and delighted us. As committed citizen-musicians, their impact reached beyond the halls of music.
