Beaded knitting, Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum Collection

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

What do Charles and Ann Morrow Lindbergh, a rescue mission to the Arctic, and Cry The Beloved Country's author Alan Paton have in common? You can find them all as reference points in the Smithsonian’s collection of knitted objects and artifacts. Take a virtual trip around the world exploring a universally beloved form of fiber art.

This program led by instructor Ann Richards, is perfect for those seeking inspiration for their own knitting projects—or those non-knitters who just enjoy a good story.
