Mosaic by Bonnie Fitzgerald
In this workshop, create a beautiful artwork using tempered glass, also known as crash glass. Applying the fun, versatile material as an overlay results in a shimmery, mosaic-like surface. Students apply a crash-glass overlay to a paper collage they create with photographs, stickers, tissue papers, stamps, glitter, wrapping paper—just about anything that creates a flat surface (grouting is optional).
Students make one small artwork and may begin a second, if time permits. The goal is to master the technique of working with these materials in order to work independently on more complex projects in the future, including family keepsakes and hostess gifts.
The workshop is perfect for teens and adults. Mosaic experience is not necessary.
A separate supply fee of $40 is payable to the instructor and includes all materials. Lunch break is included (participants supply their own).
