FEB 5  Wines of Northern California

In the 1960s and 1970s, Napa Valley led the charge in putting America on the global wine radar. A lot has changed since California wines beat the corks off the French competition in the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976 (aka the Judgment of Paris). But one thing remains the same: The quality of Northern California wines has continued to improve.

This immersive tasting experience led by Erik Segelbaum spans the best of Napa, Sonoma, Lake, and Mendocino counties. He explores variations in terroir from high elevation to valley floor, what makes the Sonoma Coast so special, and reveals hidden gems from some outlying appellations.

MAR 5  Washington-State Wines From Women Makers

Washington state is without a doubt a (not so) hidden gem in the American wine scene. Known for having the perfect balance of Old World earthiness and New World fruit ripeness, Washington state wines are world-class additions to any wine cellar. Some of Washington’s most powerful and amazing wines are being brought to life by equally powerful and amazing women. In this guided tasting led by Erik Segelbaum, explore some of Washington's best wines produced by women winemakers, grape-growers, or viticulturists.

APR 9  Wines of the Oldest World

Israel and the Levant can be considered the oldest world when it comes to winemaking. Archaeological records show domesticated grape growing and winemaking in this region dates back more than 5000 years and is largely responsible for the evolution of modern wine.

In this guided tasting with Erik Segelbaum, explore Israeli wine's storied past, present, and future. Taste wines made from biblical-era indigenous grapes, which are enjoying a resurgence of cultivation. Segelbaum also discusses the French connection and the influence of the Baron Edmond de Rothschild (of Château Lafite Rothschild) on Israel's wine scene. He explores Israel's future in Mediterranean varietals, how the Israeli spirit made the desert bloom, and the social and environmental consciousness that exists in Israeli winemaking.
