By Morgan Kuster

Take an artful break and explore the fascinating, vast collections of the Smithsonian. Each week, learn about a featured collection object and follow along with the instructor to create a new sketch. Interesting facts and tidbits about the collection items are shared. Then relax into the sketching process as the instructor guides you through breaking down and studying the object as you prepare to draw. This drawing break is designed to be easy to join: All you need is a pencil and paper.
