This class focuses on observational drawing from life using charcoal. Students learn of charcoal’s expressive capabilities while creating a wide range of tones, from light to dark, through a variety of techniques, Study how to set up a balanced, interesting still life and stage lighting that emphasizes your composition. The instructor demonstrates and leads you in exercises to study and represent value as well as recreate textures in your artwork. Practice drawing the objects accurately using specific measuring techniques.
