From the soaring Beth Sholom Synagogue outside of Philadelphia to the intimate William L. Danforth Chapel at Florida Southern College, Wright was responsible for sanctuaries for a wide range of religious groups, including Jewish, Christian, Greek Orthodox, Unitarian, and other communities. Using more than 100 photos and a dozen historical accounts, master storyteller and Wright expert Timothy Totten illustrates the architect’s beliefs about the way worshippers should interact with each other and their faith, as well as the ways he differentiated each space for its specific congregation.
