Do you ever wonder how that vintage lace treasure was actually made? And by whom, and why? Dive into these “iterative subroutines” and bring a piece of old lace to share and analyze for historical context. Basic techniques of lace crochet and tatting are presented by the instructor in classes one and two. There is structured time to practice in class, and then between sessions with the help of the class recording. In week three, look at ways to incorporate your modern lace into garments or fiber art. What can you make?
