Explore new approaches to artmaking while experimenting with a wide range of subjects. Start with quick sketches to refine your ideas, then build your work through layers of wet and dry media. Learn to add texture, depth, and relief by manipulating materials in creative ways. Take your art “off the page” by using these techniques to build your piece up to three dimensions with cardboard or mat board, and try optional paper mâché techniques. Complete your pieces with colorful acrylics, mixed media, and found objects to create bold, dynamic artworks.
