By Marcie Wolf-Hubbard

Working small can open things up in surprising ways. In this six-session mixed-media class, create a series of miniature artworks using a range of materials—both wet and dry—like paint, collage, and simple sculptural elements.

Experiment with layering, texture, and intuitive ways of working and look at how scale shifts how a piece feels and reads. Along the way, make some of your supports using materials like papier-mâché, so the surface becomes part of the process.

This class is about trying things, working in a series, and seeing what starts to connect. The pieces can stand on their own, be grouped together, or even become meaningful handmade gifts.

All levels welcome.
